Clyde E. Cain, Jr., 90 of Charleston went home to be with the Lord, in God's perfect timing on April 6, 2016.
He was former owner, operator and broker of Cain Realty and Appraisal Service, a past president of the Independent Fee Appraisers and a member of the Kanawha Valley Board of Realtors. Clyde was also a Veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during WW II where he was a member of the Pacific Amphibious Forces, LST 1008, as well as a lifetime member of the American Legion and the VFW. He was also a member of the Boulevard Seventh Day Adventist Church where he formerly served as Head Deacon.
He was preceded in death by, Anna Lee Hensley Cain, parents, Clyde Edward Cain, Sr. and Opa Helen Larck Cain; brothers, Chester, Jimmy and Homer Cain.
Survivors include son, Robert E. "Rob" Cain of St. Albans; daughter, Bonnie A. Thompson and her husband Chuck of Scott Depot; grandson, Scott E. Rogers of St. Albans; granddaughter, Tabatha Griffith and husband Karle of St. Albans; great grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Gabriel; sister, Opal Hensley of Parkersburg; brothers Selden and Roy Cain both of Hurricane.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Monday April 11, 2016 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with Elder Michael Koch officiating. Entombment with military graveside rites provided by American Legion Post 187 Winfield will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to services on Monday.
In lieu of flowers make memorial donations to: Boulevard Seventh Day Adventist Church, 622 Kanawha Boulevard West, Charleston, WV 25302.
