Heaven received an angel when Josie Jones, 83, of Charleston, went home to be with the lord on March 19, 2016, with her daughters, granddaughters and son-in-law by her side at the EastBrook Nursing home.
Josie was the daughter of the late John and Geneva Harding, and the mother of the late David Jones. She is survived by her three loving daughters, Wanda Brown, Linda Vance, and Connie Whittington (Mike). She greatly impacted the lives of her grandchildren, Christina Massey, Linzy Brown and Austin Whittington. She will be sadly missed by additional grandchildren Carrie Pringle and Lisa Jones. She was able to enjoy the blessing and love of a great grandchild, Nathan Frederick. She is also survived by her siblings, Jean Smith, Berthie Holley, Orville Harding and Averd (Jake) Harding.
Josie loved the lord and spent many years of her life serving him. Her biggest passion was her family. She was loved dearly by all whose lives she touched.
Funeral service will be 12 Noon, Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Bernard Toppings officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Pocatalico.
Friends will be received 1 hour prior to service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations in Josie's name to the West Virginia Alzheimer's Association, 1601 Second Ave., Charleston, WV 25387.
