Ruth N. Thaxton 89 of Charleston went home to be with the Lord July 19, 2016.
Ruth retired from the accounting division of C&P Telephone with 38 years of service.
She was a member of Charleston Mountain Mission, the church choir, sang in the Octet, was a member of Circle 3 and taught Sunday school.
Preceding her in death were her husband George Thaxton, brothers, James & Cleo Pfost, sisters, Pauline Carte, Mildred Caldwell and Wanda Young.
Survivors include her daughter Cynthia Randolph and husband Ben; grandson, Patrick Randolph and wife Lindsey and great granddaughter, Amelia, all of Charleston.
Funeral Services will be 7:00 PM Friday July 22, 2016, at Charleston Mountain Mission Church with Rev. Kenny Petry officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 PM until service time on Friday. Committal Services and Burial will be on Monday July 25, 2016 in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.
In Lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to: Mountain Mission, Inc., 1620 7th Avenue, Charleston, WV 25387 or Hospice Care, 1606 Kanawha Blvd. W. Charleston, WV 25387.
