Charles E. Wolfe 76 of Sissonville went home to be with the Lord on June 20, 2013 surrounded by his family. Born January 27, 1937 to the late George and Lessie Hughart Wolfe. Also preceding him in death were his step-mother, Lula Wolfe; infant daughter Kathy Lynn Wolfe and sister Naomi Bostic.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 55 years Arbutus Coleman Wolfe; daughter, Sandra Kay Burdette, and his son-in-law whom he loved as a son Jeff; granddaughters, Cyndi Burdette and Mindy Humphreys and husband Rodney; great grandchildren, Dylan Burdette, Cory Humphreys and Hana Humphreys, all of Sissonville, and his sister, Juanita Young of St. Albans.
Charles retired from Broughton Foods with 36 years of service. He was also well known in the Sissonville area for fixing old Yamaha motorcycles and four wheelers. He loved to ride his four wheelers and motorcycles on Newhouse ridge. They were music to his ears. He also taught his oldest great grandson Dylan Burdette how to cut grass. He was a member of Legg Fork Community Church and attended Second Creek Community Church. He loved the Lord with all his heart and was a great witness.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Monday June 24, 2013 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Jack Comer officiating. Burial will follow in Coleman Family Cemetery, Spicewood Road, Kenna.
Visitation with the family will be two hours prior to service on Monday.
